Stabilize and enhance City revenues

Continue to implement the recommendations from the Blue Ribbon Commission on Revenue Stabilization including voting to extend the 0.15% sales tax on the 2009 City Ballot

Expand the Economic Vitality Program and explore other strategies to encourage the type of high-tech, entrepreneurial businesses that are Boulder's trademark

Champion fiscal accountability and targeted, efficient service delivery

Adopt, as appropriate, the forthcoming recommendations from the Blue Ribbon Commission II on achieving efficiencies in City government

Maintain focus on public safety and core services

Support on-going audits of City programs/services to ensure their relevance and cost-effective financial management

Advocate for a healthy, sustainable community

Work to preserve and enhance affordable housing and City support for the other critical human service programs

Continue the City's environmental leadership in such areas as reducing greenhouse gas emissions, expanding our renewable energy portfolio and striving to become a zero waste community

Strive to improve the quality of City governance

Focus City Council meetings on the highest priorities, delegating less critical matters to staff and advisory bodies

Re-consider the use of limited executive sessions for select confidential matters such as employee evaluations,legal negotiations and land purchases

Continue efforts to engage groups under represented in civic dialogue

Enhance collaborative partnerships with the private and non-profits sectors as well as other governmental entities to achieve community and regionally-based solutions

Enhance and preserve our natural, social and cultural environment

Exercise wise stewardship in the acquisition and maintenance of our open space and mountain parks

Support Boulder's unique social and cultural assets such as the Pearl Street Mall, the Farmers Market and Chautauqua
